Junior Golf Rules

Blainroe Junior Golf Rules & Regulations
 
Juniors/Juveniles range in age 10 – 18 year olds. Qualifying age on 1st Jan.
 
 
1.      Juniors who have been ‘passed’ by the Club Professional or Junior Committee may play the course unaccompanied at permitted times.
2.      Juniors who have been ‘passed’ may play at weekends or on Bank Holidays after 18.00.
3.      Juveniles may play the course after 18.00 if accompanied.
4.      Juniors/Juveniles must at all times give way to Ordinary members and Associates except during Junior Competitions.
5.      Juniors/Juveniles may not play from a shared bag.
6.      Details of Junior Competitions will be posted on Junior Notice Board.
7.      Except during official competitions no Junior/Juvenile fourball or foursomes are allowed.
8.      G.U.I. and I.L.G.U. handicaps may be assigned to Juniors returning three 18 hole scorecards signed by a member with GUI/ILGU handicap.
9.      Junior male members with a GUI handicap are now permitted to play in senior singles competitions, including open & invitation events but excluding Captain’s & Presidents prizes, at the invitation of and in the company of an ordinary member. An ordinary member can only invite a maximum of 2 junior members to any competition. A junior may play in senior Fourball or Foursomes competitions if his partner is an ordinary member, except in winter League where 2 juniors may play together.
10. Junior female members with a ILGU handicap of 36 or less are permitted to play in senior competitions, including open & invitation events, at the invitation of and in the company of an ordinary or associate member. An ordinary or associate member can only invite a maximum of 2 junior members to any competition.
11.  Any Junior in breach of any of the Course or Clubhouse regulations is liable to a period of suspension at the discretion of the Committee.
12. Junior female members with a ILGU handicap of 36 or less who have prior permission of the Ladies Committee, may play in BUT MAY NOT WIN 1st prize in the Lady Captain’s or Lady President’s Prize.
13. All juniors who hold a GUI or ILGU handicap must have their swipe card with them at all times. It is the responsibility of Juniors with a handicap to ensure a copy of the card is provided for the Mens’ /Ladies’ Handicap Secretary, after each Singles Competition.
