LOCAL RULES

1. OUT OF BOUNDS :

  • Beyond all course boundaries, Clubhouse environs and car parks.
  • On or over any line of white stakes/or lines.

2. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS :

  • All course furniture, artificially surfaced roads or paths, bridges and bridge parapets.
  • All staked trees (Rule 24 - 2B applies).
  • New sleepers on 1st Tee and flower beds on 1st Tee.
  • Sprinkler heads, see notice board for additional relief.
  • No relief from rabbit tubing on trees

2. MOVEABLE OBSTRUCTIONS :

  • Distance markers, stones in bunkers may be removed without penalty.

4. BOUNDARY FENCES

  • Stiles on boundary fences are integral parts of course, no relief.

5. WATER & LATERAL HAZARDS :

  • Water hazards: yellow stakes or lines.
  • Lateral Hazards: red stakes or lines.

6. GROUND UNDER REPAIR

  • Play from ground under repair is prohibited (RULE 25 - 1)

7. OLD HOLE PLUGS ON PUTTING GREEN :

  • If an old hole plug is sunk or raised on your line of putt, you can attempt to repair it. If this is impossible, you can lift and place your ball, as near as possible, not nearer the hole.

8. AERATION HOLES (HOLLOW THINING) :

  • If your ball is in or on an aeration hole, you can, through the green drop, or on the putting green place your ball as near as possible not nearer the hole.

9. HOLE 15
If your ball is in the water you can (under penalty of one stroke)

  1. Go back as far as you like, keeping the point where the ball last crossed the margin of the hazard between you and the flag
  2. Play again from the tee
  3. As an additional option, drop a ball in the dropping zone
Note: If the ball is dropped in the dropping zone, the ball must not be re-dropped if it comes to rest within two club lengths of the spot where it first struck a part of the course even though it may come to rest nearer the hole or outside the boundaries of the dropping zone.

10. FIXED SPRINKLER HEADS
All fixed sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under Rule 24-2. In addition, if such obstruction is within two club-lengths of the putting green of the hole being played, and intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may obtain relief without penalty as follows: If the ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and is within two club-lengths of the intervening obstruction, it may be lifted, cleaned and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lay which (a) is not nearer the hole (b) avoids such intervention and (c) is not in a hazard or on a putting green.

Match Play - Loss of Hole; Stroke Play - Two Strokes
